POEM
Things I always thought
Would happen when I grow up
Was mainly becoming an astronaut
But all i got was hurt
Unwilling to take what life had brought
Broken dreams and droughts
Failure filled with "NO's" and "BUTS"
I could only see what I had lost
Every advice became a mock
I was blind to a fault
No idea how to resolve
For a moment I had withdrawn
No space no one could disturb
But I fought, held on
Finding a way to use this mixture
Until finally I invented a mirror
And behold, there was my future.
Would happen when I grow up
Was mainly becoming an astronaut
But all i got was hurt
Unwilling to take what life had brought
Broken dreams and droughts
Failure filled with "NO's" and "BUTS"
I could only see what I had lost
Every advice became a mock
I was blind to a fault
No idea how to resolve
For a moment I had withdrawn
No space no one could disturb
But I fought, held on
Finding a way to use this mixture
Until finally I invented a mirror
And behold, there was my future.
Life oh life.
